Data Practices

Understanding how we handle your data with our privacy-first approach

Privacy-First Promise

Our core data practice is simple: we process your story to create your personalized apology, deliver it to you, and then permanently delete everything from our systems. No storage, no logs, no retention.

Your data exists in our system only for the brief moment needed to generate your apology.

How Your Data Flows Through Our System

1

Story Submission

You submit your story through our secure form. This data is encrypted in transit and processed in memory only.

2

AI Processing

Our AI processes your story in real-time to craft your personalized apology. This happens entirely in memory.

3

Secure Delivery

Your apology is generated as a PDF or MP3 (voice or song) and sent directly to your email address.

4

Immediate Deletion

Once delivered, all data is immediately and permanently deleted from our systems. No traces remain.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't store your stories in databases
  • We don't read, analyze, or review your content manually
  • We don't retain copies of generated apologies
  • We don't keep logs of your submissions
  • We keep minimal operational metadata for reliability and abuse prevention (see Privacy Policy for short retention window)
  • Account Information We Keep

While we don't store your stories or apologies, we do maintain minimal account information necessary for service operation:

    • • Email address (for authentication and delivery)
    • • Session credits/usage counts
    • • Account creation date
    • • Payment information (processed by Stripe, not stored by us)

This information is kept secure and can be deleted at any time by deleting your account.

    Privacy Compliance

Our privacy-first approach exceeds the requirements of major privacy regulations:

    GDPR Inspired

Right to erasure by design - your data is automatically deleted

    PIPEDA Inspired

Minimal data collection and purpose limitation principles
